Hello all!! We love buying makeup and skin care things and trying new things but it all adds up really quickly. For whatever reason when you run out of one thing you run out of it all! Today I wanted to share some of the things I have found to be both affordable and have great quality. So here we go:
Promise Organic Nourishing Coconut Milk Face Lotion With Hibiscus
It’s only $15 bucks and you can find it at CVS and on CVS online. I love this moisturizer because as thick as the formula is, it feels so light on your face. It doesn’t leave a greasy feel either. I love the ingredients list and the fact that I can read and pronounce all the ingredients. This is the only moisturizer I use every single day.
More skin care
The Ordinary. and Mario Badescu
Both these brands have some amazing products that I use in my skin care routine regularly. The Ordinary. you can find on Beautylish online or on their app which is what I use. Their prices range from $4.90-$14.80. They have some really high end ingredients and items for such an affordable price. Their packaging is simple and clean and I love it. Currently I use Buffet and the Advanced Retinoid 2%. From Mario Badescu I currently am using their Facial Sprays (alternating between the rose and aloe), Enzyme Cleansing Gel, Drying Lotion, and Seaweed Cleansing Lotion. I also use these every day with the exception of the Drying Lotion as that’s a spot treatment. These prices are also so incredible and affordable. Not only that but their products work. It’s helped me tremendously on getting my skin on track and keeping it on track.
NYX Professional Makeup Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray
It’s $7.99 and you can find it anywhere that sells NYX, so around me that’s Target, Ulta, Meijer, and NYX online. I love love love this setting spray and swear by it. I’ve actually made a post before about how this setting spray has never failed! It lasted through sky diving and day drinking in Chicago’s horrible and humid summers which you can read more about here: How I get my makeup to last through ANYTHING!! I love the dewy look, I use matte lipsticks 99% of the time so when I don’t want a full on matte face. Both work really well but the dewy is my current favorite! Plus because it’s so inexpensive I don’t feel bad going crazy with the setting spray and worrying that I’m wasting money or product. I spray it on after my makeup look is complete and that’s it. I leave it at home and call it a day. I don’t ever have to touch up my makeup. The only time I bring it with me is when I know I’ll be outside in hot weather alllll day!
Eye shadows and Brushes
Morphe has some wonderful prices and amazing brushes along with eyeshadows. Majority of my eyeshadow palettes are from Morphe. Their palettes cost anywhere from $15 to $38 depending on which palette you get. They come with 12, 25, or 35 shadows per palette. Not only is the price great, the quality is si great as well. Their brushes are pretty much the only brushes I have and use every single day. Their makeup brushes are also very affordable. They sell them individually and as bundles. Their brushes truly are made of great quality. I’ve had the same brushes for a long time and have cleaned them many times and they still work the same as they did day one. You can get all these wonderful items and more on their website.
ColourPop is hands down without a doubt one of my ALL TIME favorite brands. From its affordability, constant great sales, packaging, marketing, and quality it’s a win win win win. I’m sure by now you’ve all heard of them. I’ve raved about this company to all my friends for years. They are coming to Sephora soon which is amazing and trouble for my wallet.
I have tried just about every single product they have released. The matte liquid lipstick is pretty much the only lipstick I wear. I love matte lips and feel like there aren’t many brands that are matte and I don’t have to keep reapplying all day. With ColourPop I can apply once and make it through my entire bartending shift while drinking water or coffee and eating and not have to touch up or reapply.
Their highlighters are to die for. Super shock formula is a buttery creamy powder? If that makes any sense. The pigment is amazing and really is buildable and some of the most blinding highlights. My favorite is, Churro and Whipped.
The eyebrow pencil and gel is another favorite. I use the gel every single day and I often alternate between ABH, Benefit, and ColourPop for my all over brows. But I have a smart part of my brow that just doesn’t have any hair and this is the most precise pencil to create little fake hairs.
They recently came out with concealers as well.. the shade range is there but I have to use two for my undereyes. It’s so creamy and natural looking. A little truly goes a long way. I’ve stopped using my bare minerals one, which if anyone knows me knows that’s my ride or die concealer. But I think I might like the final finish on CP over BM. I don’t have to use as much setting powder with it which is a huge win for me. So as you can see I really LOVE ColourPop. Between the quality and price what’s not to love?!
wet & wild megaglo HIGHLIGHTING POWDER
It’s $4.99 and you can find them at any drug store. I actually haven’t ever seen these in store though.. I ordered them online. I had seen so many makeup artists raving about these highlighters and I had to try it for myself. At 5 bucks a piece how could I not? I have the shades, Crown of My Canopy, Precious Petals, and Golden Flower Crown. The pigment payout is amazing!!! I was so shocked at how great this product was.
I really like their blushes. I think they have great pigment payout and are long lasting. It’s also very buildable which I like. These cost $2-$8 dollars that’s including individuals and palettes.
I hope you guys have found this helpful and like the products listed. Thank you so much for reading this!
